The steel industry is neglected. State-of-the-art plants around the world use software developed decades ago, and AI control is practically unheard of in mission-critical applications. JRE is developing real-time AI-based control systems to bring the steel industry to the 21st century.

Akshat Saraf and Jorge Garduño are MBA students at the University of Oxford. Before they met in Oxford, both racked up decades of experience in steel manufacturing around the world. Akshat Saraf, Director of the Radha Group, has over 7 years of experience in steel manufacturing, sales, and branding. An MBA candidate at the University of Oxford with an Executive Master’s in Family Business Management from the Indian School of Business and a Bachelor's from Indiana University, he's driving innovation and expansion in the group's ventures from steel to construction. He is also a triple Black Belt martial artist, avid automotive enthusiast, and is deeply involved with the cause of education for the underprivileged As an engineering physicist turned entrepreneur, Jorge's career has developed at the intersection of business and technology. Before co-founding his company in 2020, he worked for almost 10 years optimizing steel manufacturing facilities worldwide and as product and technology head for several startups in LATAM. JRE is currently working on AI applications to make heavy industries more efficient and sustainable. They combine a hands-on approach to building teams, processes, and solutions with an intellectual curiosity to use science as a transformative force to create responsible production industries.
