We started from a real problem that Stefan, a cousin of our team member, has. Stefan has Down Syndrome, meaning he has learning disabilities. We began to look more deeply into the problem and tried to come up with a way to help him as effectively as possible. After many debates and brainstorming sessions, our focus landed on learning how to write, as it is one of the first skills that kids have to achieve. We wanted to offer them a pleasing and motivating experience that gives them the courage to continue their learning journey across their whole life. We are building a mobile app for tablets where kids can learn how to write interactively. The essential features of the app are: real-time feedback using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in order to know precisely what is good and what can be improved, gamification to keep the kids joyful and motivated, statistics for parents/teachers to monitor the process, and multidisciplinary by which we also want to teach short bits of knowledge from various fields while writing, such as math, geography, history, biology, and so on. We want to help kids with learning disabilities from all over the world. We also think our solution would suit underdeveloped countries where access to education is challenging.

We are a team of 4 students from Romania - Anastasia, Octa, Tudor, and Paul - eager to work on making the world a better place for everyone. Even though we are all studying Computer Science, we manage to combine a wide range of complementary skills like Software Engineering, Web Development, Mobile Development, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Marketing, UI&UX, Sales, Business Development and Product Management. As for complementary experiences, we can mention prizes in national and international contests, voluntary work, scientific research in machine learning and artificial intelligence, and previous start-up experience. We are strongly motivated to build state-of-the-art technological solutions for real-life problems while continuously searching for new opportunities. We bonded as a team by taking part in multiple hackathons and contests where we got numerous prizes as a validation of our strong team performance.
