Lakit

In the US, there are around 4.8 million family dementia caregivers. Of these, 40% to 70% have clinically significant symptoms of depression. These Caregivers’ ability to take care of themselves gets limited by the caregiving demands. Most of them are not aware of their mental conditions during caregiving. We designed a stress analysis system, Lakit, which could help them sync with daily schedules and maintain their mental health.

We are a diverse team of 4 members from technical and design backgrounds: Cheng Tin Tsai, Wenyu Wang, Jingzhi Xu, Qiuyi Yang. We are all currently pursuing a master’s degree with GIX of the University of Washington. We are passionate about solving existing health care problems by combining cutting-edge technology with human-centered design.
