Project Overview
Argus is a device to aid visually impaired people by answering questions about the environment around them, helping them identify objects, read text, and navigate spaces.
About Team
Around 2 years ago, we collaborated for the first time, and won the most creative hack at Stanford’s Treehacks hackathon, making a cryptocurrency-controlled face-tracking water turret. In many ways, this sparked our love for computer vision and got us thinking about ways we could improve the lives of people like our grandparents.
We also have had a passion for helping others from a young age, which we’ve continued to follow through our creation of Argus. In high school, Daniel ran a program to teach young students computer science and game design principles, while Arjun mentored robotics teams to help them learn the basics of mechanical engineering.
