Verse

Verse is an EdTech product that uses AI to provide assignable, voice-based conversations that encourage critical thinking and active learning. It supports over 50 languages and helps prevent plagiarism and AI misuse. Ideal for educators, Verse offers real-time, interactive assignments that promote deeper thinking and accommodate diverse learning styles. Verse is being piloted by educators at Tufts University, Georgia Tech, and Park University.

Duncan and Elliot are education researchers and computer science students at their respective institutions. Their first venture was a computer science education nonprofit that they founded in 2019. Over the next six years, Duncan and Elliot grew their nonprofit to teach 500+ students the fundamentals computer science and engineering while also building free and open-source to support learners. Now, Duncan and Elliot are using their education and software development experience to build voice-based conversational assignments for educators.
