Briana is a junior at F.W Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida. She is the founder, CEO, and Chair Executive Director of coderGirls, a national organization to empower minority groups in technology through our chapters, nationwide competitions, mentorship program, Florida Hackathons, and coderKids. The coding languages that she knows are ROBOTC, Java, Python, Swift, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, SQL, PHP, jQuery, MITAppInventor, and Scratch. Briana is also the founder and president of SeniorTechNet to teach senior citizens how to utilize technology at local independent living facilities. She is the president of her school’s robotics team and she is on the Florida Technology Council’s Student Advisory Committee to discuss legislation of the technology sector in front of the state government.
Briana dedicated her team, coderGirl, to represent her organization, coderGirls. coderGirls (www.codergirls.org) is an international nonprofit working to provide engaging to educate female middle schoolers and high schoolers computer science. Since the beginning, she has been working with 85 Girl Scout councils and over 350 schools to impact over 500,000 girls.
