Be Excellent’s mission is to create an ecosystem that fosters clear communication between students, and employers by offering innovative processes that redefine traditional recruiting practices Be Excellent is contingent upon serving the student body at Georgia State University and universities abroad in the near future. Consider these questions: What is the quality of life for a student? What changes can be brought forth to improve this quality of life? Students should be able to apply knowledge acquired from the classroom and personal experiences to create their own opportunities in the job market. We believe that serving the college community will not only create more profound scholars but will also develop strong future leaders across the nation’s most diverse industries. Future generations will benefit indefinitely from the blueprint established by Be Excellent. The idea is derived from the owner’s personal experiences of looking for part-time jobs and internships to gain more valuable experience in his career field. This pursuit presented a variety of hurdles, including lack of experience as an undergraduate, age, acquired skill set, and being overshadowed by candidates with a strong resume. “Life experiences” are not a headline in a resume, but they are necessary: Whether it is having the ability to meet deadlines, multitasking, making decisions under pressure, time management, or learning to be a team player, these qualities still count for what recruiters say they look for in a candidate. Having the ability to communicate those intangibles whether they were taught in academic or personal life experiences is imperative. When opportunities don’t exist, innovation is born and Be Excellent comes to fruition. B.E. will provide a more innovative way to set up a resume, take advantage of job opportunities, and help create more opportunities for a college student. College students will be able to create an account and upload personal information such as their grade point average, major/minor, classification, extracurricular activities, and work experience. Each student would sign up for B.E. with their student email; so the university administration will be able to verify that all college-related information that the student reports. Employers will be able to create an account by including their company name, location, their specific department (if applicable), and requirements for each position they are attempting to fill. Employers can also leave evaluations or comments on a student’s profile to give their future employers an idea what kind of employee they were per the student’s request. Job boards give open access for companies to post any job positions on their site. On some sites, accredited positions and pyramid scheme companies are combined which creates a distortion for the student. To completely make the service valuable to the student we incorporated specific restrictions on what companies can post on the service. B.E. provides the ability to restore confidence for the student to apply for jobs. Equally important, B.E. alleviates the process of reconstructing a resume to accommodate the vast positions being offered to the student. Upon entering college, students are officially recognized as adults. They are understanding who they are through the decisions and mistakes they make. Making mistakes are a critical part of career development, as they allow for personal growth. This steady progression, as it ensues, may seem lackluster, difficult to manage and, due to a lack of guidance, can quickly begin to decline. However, change is forthcoming and that change is Be Excellent.

关于团队

The team is made up of six individuals with diverse backgrounds that come from a state college also known as Georgia State University. The group consists of tight friendships that are considered a brotherhood and sisterhood. We came together by representing the idea that even the best talent can be found in underdog universities. We all have the power and ability to change not only how we view the world but to encourage others to dream and believe that their efforts are good enough to fight for the quality of life. We are disruptors like Mr.Gates, Jobs, Cook, and Spiegel. We want to change the college industry in a way where students can represent their talents efficiently when approached by Microsoft, Apple, Airbnb, Snapchat and etc.
