Smart Hire AI is an AI-powered recruitment ecosystem designed to solve one of the world’s most persistent challenges: the disconnect between universities, employers, and the millions of students entering the job market each year. Despite producing talented graduates, universities struggle to provide structured visibility into student readiness, while employers waste countless hours manually screening resumes, shortlisting candidates, and coordinating interviews. Smart Hire AI bridges this gap by transforming recruitment into a smart, automated, and data-driven workflow powered by advanced AI and cloud technologies. Our platform serves three key audiences; universities, employers, and candidates; unifying them into a single end-to-end hiring ecosystem. For employers, Smart Hire AI automates the entire recruitment pipeline: resume parsing, rubric-guided evaluation, semantic search, job matching, and AI interviews. Our AI models analyze each application using configurable rubrics that assess technical skills, experience, communication, cultural fit, and more. The system generates transparent, criterion-based evaluations with detailed reasoning, improving hiring accuracy and reducing bias. Recruiters save up to 40+ hours per campaign as repetitive screening and scheduling tasks are handled automatically. For universities, Smart Hire introduces a powerful placement and insights dashboard that tracks student performance, job readiness, interview success rates, skill gaps, and placement trends across programs. Institutions gain real-time visibility into how their students perform in the market and which skills employers actively seek. This helps universities modernize curriculum planning, improve employability initiatives, and build strong industry partnerships. At the center of the platform is our AI-driven matching engine, which combines semantic search (RAG), embeddings, and contextual LLM reasoning. Instead of relying on keyword matching, recruiters can search natural language queries such as “React developer with 2+ years of experience and good communication skills,” and the system intelligently surfaces the best-fit candidates with transparent explanations. This dramatically increases the quality of shortlists and reduces mismatch costs for companies. Candidates benefit from a personalized career ecosystem where they can upload resumes, build professional profiles, set preferences, take AI-powered practice interviews, and apply to targeted opportunities. Our AI assistant provides resume improvements, skill gap analysis, job recommendations, and full interview analytics. The platform features deep integration with modern tools such as Azure OpenAI, Cosmos DB, Cohere embeddings, LlamaParse, Zoom, Resend, Vercel Blob, and FastAPI microservices. Our team is a multidisciplinary group of builders driven by a shared mission: to bridge the gap between universities and employers through intelligent, accessible, and scalable AI technology. Khursheed Ahmed – Founder & Technical Lead Khursheed leads the technical vision and overall development of Smart Hire AI. As a Full-Stack Web Developer and AI Engineer, he has designed and built the complete architecture of the platform; including the AI screening and AI interviews engine, semantic search system, multi-role dashboards, and scalable microservices. He has won multiple global competitions and hackathons, including the Google AI Challenge, IBM WatsonX, and ranked 30th globally in Meta Hacker Cup 2025. His expertise spans AI engineering, LLM workflows, cloud deployment, and production-grade SaaS development. Hajra Eman Haider – UI/UX Designer Hajra is responsible for designing Smart Hire AI user experience, ensuring the platform remains intuitive, modern, and accessible for HR teams, universities, and candidates. She specializes in high-fidelity design systems, cross-platform usability, and responsive interaction flows. Her work focuses on creating a frictionless experience; from onboarding to candidate evaluation to analytics; making complex AI features simple and friendly for users. Ahmad Aslam – Backend Developer Ahmad manages backend development, performance optimization, and API architecture. He works on database modeling, background jobs, RBAC systems, onboarding flows, and backend automation pipelines. His strengths include Node.js, FastAPI, Prisma, PostgreSQL, Redis, and scalable microservice orchestration. He ensures the system remains stable, secure, and efficient under real-world usage. Saif – Business Development & Marketing Lead Saif drives the business strategy, partnerships, and customer acquisition for Smart Hire AI. He focuses on identifying university and employer needs, managing outreach, and establishing collaborations. His work also includes marketing strategy, customer feedback cycles, and crafting the go-to-market approach for scaling Smart Hire AI internationally. Together, our team combines deep technical expertise, design thinking, backend engineering strength, and business vision. This mix enables us to build not just a product, but a complete AI-powered recruitment ecosystem ready for global deployment.
