Kisan-Sahayak: Empowering Rural Farmers with AI The Problem: In India, millions of farmers lose money every year because market data and crop prices are often published in English. This language barrier forces them to rely on middlemen who often exploit them by offering lower prices. The Solution: Kisan-Sahayak is a Python-based intelligent assistant designed to bridge this gap. It fetches real-time market data for crops (like Rice, Wheat, Tomato) and uses Neural Machine Translation to present the information in the farmer's local language (Tamil, Hindi, etc.). Our Vision: We aim to democratize access to agricultural information. By making technology "language-agnostic," we empower farmers to make independent, data-driven selling decisions, ensuring they get the fair price they deserve.

We are a team of aspiring engineers from Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan Engineering College, passionate about using Artificial Intelligence for social good. Our background is in AI & Data Science, and we believe that the best technology is the one that solves the most basic human problems. We are participating in the Microsoft Imagine Cup to learn how to scale our local solutions into global products that can impact millions of lives.
