Sobre a Equipa
Our team includes 3 graduate students who have a strong interest in coding and apply our skills to address real-life issues. Together, we had participated and won in various hackathon events like CUA Hackathons, DC Disrupts and VHacks from which we experienced and learned. MoM Project was initially started at Bison Hackathon 2018 and attracted Ms. Christine Matheney on Devpost who introduced us about Imagine Cup 2018. This competition really attracts us in terms of boosting our passion in developing and engaging technology to positively improve human lives.
Thanh C. Nguyen, Catholic University of America (CUA), Electrical Engineering, Graduation Year: 2019 - Thanh Nguyen is currently a Research Assistant and enrolled in the PhD program at CUA Department of Electrical Engineering. With a strong passion in optical applications, computer vision and deep learning. Thanh would like to apply his skills and results in research to address practical issues. Interestingly, he has successfully established digital holography microscopy and machine learning method in order to distinguish sub-populations in human invasive cancer cell lines which can further support breast cancer detection.
Vy Bui, Catholic University of America (CUA), Electrical Engineering, Graduation Year: 2019 - Vy Bui is a PhD student in Department of Electrical Engineering, CUA. Her research interests include medical image analysis targeting on heart disease using computer vision and deep learning. She is working on her thesis in the collaboration of Catholic University of America and National Institute of Health. Recently, Vy had attended in the first-ever VHacks at Vatican, where she was first exposed and learned about virtual reality (VR) from a Microsoft mentor and conducted a VR solution to shorten misunderstanding in interfaith dialogue. Vy believes that VR can do much more than leisure activity and would like to explore more on this amazing field.
Son Dinh, Catholic University of America (CUA), Electrical Engineering, Graduation Year: 2019. Son Dinh is enrolling in Master Program at CUA Department of Electrical Engineering. He is also a Research Assistant with a CUA faculty Dr. Hang Liu to perform study on application of reinforcement learning in communication which is the core principle for any interchange. He keens on applying natural language processing and artificial intelligent to develop communicating bot, which made him become winners in two recent hackathon events: CUA Homelessness Versus Hackathon and DC Disrupt.
