Selfy pronounced (/ sɛlfiː /), is a smart photo-sharing app, where users can perform several types of challenges. It uses face recognition technology to encourage people to complete face-based challenges that can be completed by taking photos with family and friends. With the user location Selfy creates new location-based challenges that will lead users to capture selfies in selected locations, inviting them to discover new places. Selfy includes a Machine Learning algorithm to perform object-based challenges where users must take photos with their pets, objects or a particular clothing item. The application is focused on boosting all the valuable information that a photo can give to us, beyond simple pixels.

Our team is formed by two computer engineer students and Cristian Viguri, our mentor, just like us he loves technology. Angelica is a beginner python developer, and is really interested in front-end development for webs and apps. Yeferson is a Microsoft Student Partner who has experience with Microsoft technologies. He works mainly with back-ends technologies.
