Información general del proyecto

"The Alter" eliminates software product inconsistency by following SDLC best practices. It ensures that the end product complies with HCI principles with minimal supervisor guidance under this prevailing pandemic situation. Our solution satisfies the semi-automated SDLC system based on HCI rules for academic students and software engineers (both trainees and employees) who are unable to work at their company or organization as a team. This is also the first research approach to demonstrate how to use the SDLC and HCI principles for automatically developing user interfaces using processes such as UML diagram generation, wireframe generation, and web UI generation, as well as to evaluate the use of HCI concepts. Due to the current pandemic situation, professional developers and students should continue their work via online platforms. As a result, Artifact Consistency is a significant issue in the software development industry and higher education institutions. Because of changes in requirements, technology, managerial decisions, and fault tolerance, artifacts in each phase of the SDLC are subjected to change at different frequencies. Since maintaining consistency amongst software artifacts is necessary to create quality software, a change in one phase of the SDLC will grow through the phases based on their dependencies. Many software developers nowadays continue to work on projects as individuals rather than as part of a team. This affects both academic students and developers when developing module-based software projects. As a result, after completing the final product, several inconsistencies are discovered when compared to the initial specifications. (E.g.- user interface design in terms of interactions, implementation design, conventions, and style of coding, graphical user interface look and feel). SDLC Best practices are more important in modern software development. SDLC is a framework for defining activities and work phases that are used by both software engineers and academic students to plan, design, create, test, and deliver software products. The average amount of academic students & developers follows SDLC Process for their development. However, most software professionals currently working on multiple projects at once. As a result, they do not adhere to the SDLC's recommended practices very closely [3]. Academic students who do not follow SDLC best practices focus solely on the completion of software projects and so receive higher grades. As a result, there may be a lack of SDLC best practices and approaches. Everyone working in software development, both in software companies and in IT-related university projects, was undoubtedly presented with a deadline at some point. As a result, most developers or academic students focus on completing the assignment before the deadline without addressing the user's requirements or the quality of the user interfaces. As a result, the finished product frequently fails to match user needs and HCI (Human-Computer Interaction) design principles. When working as a team on an online platform, they may have communication issues as well.

We are a group of SLIIT undergraduate students studying an IT degree program. This is our team's final year's research, and it becomes more interesting as we go along and as we receive input from users. Dr. Shyam Reyal of SLIIT was the project's supervisor, while Ms. Samanthi Siriwardana was the project's co-supervisor. A.G.S.N.Godage, Nissanka N.M.D.S.S, Uduwana P.N., and Kalindu S. were among the student contributors.
