Project Overview
Sabana is an AI-driven data management platform designed to simplify how architects and engineers manage, document, and collaborate on product selections and construction specifications.
We serve as a central hub for all product-related information. It stores all product selections, scrapes all relevant information to quickly review and compare products against each other, and drafts associated construction specifications; ensuring consistency and accuracy as designs change. By reducing manual tasks and centralizing project data, Sabana can recommend products with lower embodied carbon, minimize errors and omissions, and improve team efficiency. With Sabana, architects and engineers can focus on delivering high-quality designs while staying aligned at every stage of the construction specification process.
About Team
Sabana was co-founded by Ruben Quesada and Saket Kulkarni, combining expertise in architecture and AI to solve inefficiencies in product selection and specification management. Ruben, a former project architect with nearly a decade of experience, led commercial projects like Amazon HQ2 and witnessed firsthand the challenges of fragmented material data. Saket, a Computer Science and AI undergraduate at Carnegie Mellon University, has led technical teams in autonomous vehicle perception and specializes in machine learning, NLP, and automation. Together, they founded Sabana at the Swartz Center of Entrepreneurship in Carnegie Mellon University.
