Our project is a system to extract lyrics from cover songs on YouTube in order to use them to match the cover back to the original composition, in order to provide a content ID service. We use Azure and a large distributed cloud infrastructure to process large quantities of videos in parallel, as well as using Neural Networks to identify the lyrics. The project is intended to be used by Performance Rights Organizations and music labels to distribute royalties.
We are a group of engineers and business students from the University of Toronto. With plenty of work experience and a love of hard challenges, we've been working together to produce a product that can really make an impact in the music industry.
