We have made snap&track, the most innovative food tracking app ever. Just snap your meal and we take care of the rest! Track your diet, stay healthy and accomplish your dietary goal as easy as never before. We want to support healthy eating and nutrition-concious people, but also solve the problem of obesity, which is growing faster than ever. In contrast to other comparable apps on the market, when using snap&track you do not have to devote time and effort to input and weigh all foods. Instead, you only have to take a photo of your meal and snap&track automatically handles everything else. Using machine learning, the app recognizes all foods on the plate. By analyzing the stereo image of a dual camera smartphone, we are able to calculate the weight of each food and display its nutritional values precisely.

We - Paul Mattes (20), Marc Nikolaus (20) and Alexander Weber (21) - are the team behind snap&track and all together third term students of the subject computer science at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) in Germany. Our personal interest in healthy eating, our enthusiasm for the use of new technology and our love for user-friendly and powerful mobile apps made us excited for creating snap&track and taking part in Microsoft Imagine Cup 2019.
