Project Overview
According to a study from the world health organization, Approximately 1.3 million people die each year as a result of road traffic crashes. A lot of these deaths can be prevented if an ambulance arrived on time, but then why do most people lose their life? It's simple, the ambulance wasn't contacted on time, and the injured person wasn't able to contact the ambulance due to his injuries. Our project aims to decrease that amount, even if it was minuscule, each life matters. The project idea is, 5 devices that are interconnected with each other are attached to the 4 sides of the car, and the remaining one is connected to the airbag, just as a verification. The 5 devices each have the same functionality, all of them have a GPS, all of them have a sensor that detects the amount of force that is hit on the car and determined based on the force and the location of it if the crash is lethal or not. After this, if the device determines that a crash occurred, it progresses into the next step, voice assistance, this voice is connected to the speakers of the car, Just to make extra sure that a lethal or even an injury that requires an ambulance occurred. It will ask the injured person if he has any injuries, if the person replies with yes or didn't reply, The system will contact the nearest ambulance or hospital with the coordinates of the car and an ambulance will respond immediately. otherwise, if the person replies with no, nothing will happen.
About Team
My team consists of 4 members; myself, Abdulla Alkaabi, I am skillful and informed about internet of things, python and other engineering related subjects. Khalid Alhosani, he is a person who is well informed and is considered a professional in python, Java javaScript Swift and C++. Rashed Aljasmi, He is also extremely profound in many computer languages and programming with the addition of computer parts. Last but not least, Mohammed Almansoori, He has a strong foundation in many different computer, physics and mathematical subjects.
