Team FarmBox

"FarmBox" Farmbox is an application that will help an individual farmer all throughout the cycle. Using Microsoft Cognitive Services, it can detect different components of the soil in order to discern the best crop to be planted. And not only that, Farmbox will also consider the users geographical location, today’s economy, as well as the present time's climate in order to give the best suggestion for the farmer to plant. Farmbox is an application that will help you continuously. One’s a crop was planted, Farmbox will lead the farmer through a calendar based approach. From the date of planting, to the occasional application of fertilizers, and the harvest time, Farmbox will compile and give an all-out guide towards proper farming.

We are the Team FarmBox! We are Computer engineering students from the Technological Institute of the Philippines, Quezon City. We decided to join this competition to bring out the drive for innovation within ourselves. We were classmates since freshmen year and our bond is priceless. Since we are close to finish our Computer engineering degree, we decided that we have to try to join a major competition in order to enhance our skills and gain more experience. Our team is made up of all Computer engineering students: Reagan G. Balongcas (me), Kim Omar D.L. Roxas, and Aura Joy G. Baltazar. We are currently at the fourth year of our journey in becoming a professional Computer engineer. If we are fortunate to be accepted in this competition as one of the finalists, this will surely help to improve our skills that we can use in the future and during our professional careers.
