The Idea of the project
Replacing the push buttons used in lifts with a Voice Commands System complemented with ultrasonic sensors to avoid touching the possibly contaminated buttons and surfaces. This would limit the spread of infections and benefit individuals with special needs.
The system Components:
Voice Command system technology operated by the Microsoft voice system of Bing.
Ultrasonic technology: Ultrasonic sensors are used to increase human – lift interaction. The system requires the lift user to place her/his hand against the sensor. The sensor is programmed to measure the time the hands spend against it. The number of seconds spent is equivalent to the floor number.
To select the flat number, the lift user needs to hold his hand against the ultrasonic sensor and the flat number will appear on a screen. The number of seconds is equivalent to the flat number. When the required flat number appears on the screen, the user removes his hand, and the call order will be sent to the Arduino boards. Floor Number = Number of Hold Hand per Second
