Cancer is one of the most well-known killer diseases in the world today having a plethora of many different types as well as subtypes. Early diagnosis and prognosis are crucial to save the patient’s life. The early stages of cancer are extremely difficult to detect and predict if not close to impossible, but with deep learning it can be possible. With the implementation of AI systems that use image processing techniques, the manual evaluation and diagnosis procedure can be significantly improved. This project presents an approach on how to predict these early stages to save as many lives as possible, which will be utilizing a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) which is a deep learning algorithm that classifies and predicts cancer cells by learning from hundreds of sample CT scans. medicine is moving towards computer-aided design (CAD) systems due to its ability to make a quantitative analysis of CT lung images, detect small cancerous nodules and reduce diagnostic time which gives oncologist potentially double the amount of time to treat lung cancer patients successfully.

Informace o týmu

A group of Computer Engineering students who had a passion for AI and Mahince Deep Learning technologies and had the idea to invest this passion in their graduation project on the course of 1 year, where we learned and gained experience in the AI field that qualified us to complete the graduation project successfuly.
