Project Overview
Hamiltonian History is an immersive game-based history learning platform teaching U.S. history between 1774 and 1864. It helps K-8 students to both learn history and apply their knowledge of American society, history, politics, and economy by engaging in quests, political and legislation simulations, and battle planning. Students are able to think in the shoes of important historical figures. This way, they are not only learning about the events in the past. They are making it.
About Team
Our team consists of Haochen Han (a computer engineer) and Zhihui Zou (a creative writer). Our interests intersect since we are both devout learners of history and believers in history's ability to let us engage with society through a clear and critical mindset. In addition, to us, science is not just a thing for the future or the present; it is also something of the past.
Haochen specializes in game development, full-stack web development, and cryptography. Zhihui's skillsets are in narrative worldbuilding, literary theories, and 19th-century U.S. history. We are based in two schools in California: Troy High School and Orange County School of the Arts.
